Twenty something years ago, a friend of mine came to me and told me about a place he had visited. He said it was like no other church that he'd ever been to in his life. He was saying how the people were so happy and enjoyed singing and giving their testimonies of the goodness of the Lord. So I decided I would go to a meeting with him to see if the things he was saying were true or not. Searching for the truth and trying to find a place where people really loved the Lord were two things on my heart to do. I did not know I was going to find a place up to such a standard. So we went to the meeting that night and it was like he had said it was; the people looked like they were enjoying the Lord and really loving the Lord and were excited about praising Him. So I told the Lord: “If this is real let me experience what they are experiencing.” And He touched my heart and I experienced the same joy and happiness and it caused me to testify of His goodness too. So I started meeting with the church and was baptized and began to enjoy the writings of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee. My life was never the same. I found out that I had a human spirit and that was the key to opening my understanding of what the Word of the Lord was all about. It changed my entire life. I found out what brotherly love was all about. In 1 John chapter 4 it talks about brotherly love and I found that love to be so precious in the local church. Praying over the Word early in the morning I am able to hear what the Lord is speaking. This is so beautiful. Through my experience in the local church I just want His Word to spread even more, and to share the great things I've experienced with others.
